A Beach Hike In Crete - White Sand To Chania Harbor

Although this hike took place a little bit before the full tourist season set in, the beauty of some of Crete's magical beaches can still be seen and enjoyed.  Starting in Agioi Apostoli, the hike rolls us through Iguana Beach, Golden Beach and a few others on the way into downtown Chania. 

The true power of these beaches is revealed during the summer season, when tourists from around the island of Crete pour onto the white sand and even more tourists from Europe's northern countries converge to create an uplifting atmosphere around the island. 

White-wash villages dot the northern coast and the charms of the small fishing villages have not been lost over the years, even with the annual tourist invasions.  Chania harbor is a beauty in itself.
